Viewer discretion advised - strong violence, outstanding cinematography and gruesome visual effects!
This gruesome short film follows a young man, disturbed, who hunts women on the internet for nefarious ends. Meet his latest target, a young lady named Candy. Prepare to be hunted!
Aleksei Vanamois, Green Fire Envy - Class 2007, teamed up with long time friends and fellow producers Kees De Koster and Andrew Daly in July 2009 when he heard word Kees had written a short script. “Andrew (director) was originally planning to film it using a handy-cam. I came in and blew them away with accessible technology”. said Aleksei.
He met with the writer and director, they agreed on the look and feel of the film and adjusted the script. Originally themes and references from other thrillers and horror films were to lightly feature through-out, however, these were eventually cut out in post-production.
A step up from a handy-cam, Mr. Pin, was filmed using a Panasonic P2 on weekends in Blackheath during July to November 2009 and eventually edited using Premiere Pro, with colour-grading in After Effects.
The team spared no expense to effectively thrill the audience with cunning make up and gruesome props.
The fascinating short film has been entered into the A Night of Horror film festival, and will screen at Dendy and Metro cinemas during May 2010.
Well done to Aleksei and the team and good luck!
