Facing the final stages of post-production, the young filmmakers are up for the challenge of proving to doubters that 10 film students can successfully produce a 90-minute feature film, boasting a cast of hundreds.
Sweet Marshall premieres on 22 April 2009 at Hoyts EQ in Sydney. Previous films produced by the school, Battle Therapy and Green Fire Envy, opened to paying audiences of 3,000 combined and qualified for the AFI L'Oreal Paris Awards 2008.
Five months ago the latest class of fresh and eager students had never even operated a camera. Now they are showcasing their achievement in all aspects of filmmaking on the big screen, proving the new approach to film education at Participate really works.
Following the premiere, the film will screen nationally. Keep your eyes and ears open for the hottest new Australia film, Sweet Marshall, out in April 2009.
